Upcoming Action: May 8th Demonstration

Taylor Park St. Albans

Join us for a large legal demonstration and peaceful nonviolent sit-in. This will be a powerful show of solidarity with our immigrant community members.

Peaceful Demonstration

12:00 PM

Taylor Park, Downtown St. Albans. Permitted peaceful protest open to all community members. Bring signs, wear green, and make your voice heard.

Nonviolent Sit-in

Following demonstration

St. Albans - Customs Border Protection office. For those willing to risk arrest. Requires completion of nonviolent direct action training.

Why Target Customs and Border Protection for the Sit-in?

  • CBP and ICE are two sides of the same coin.
  • Both agencies are involved in investigating immigration, conducting arrests, and deporting immigrants. CBP's domain is within 100 miles of the border, while ICE is responsible for the interior.
  • Both agencies are part of the Department of Homeland Security.
  • In 2025, CBP was responsible for over ½ of the detentions in Vermont.
  • CBP and ICE often collaborate in border regions, including Vermont.

Thus far, ICE has been the focus of most of the protests around the Administration's illegal and immoral immigration policies. We want to make sure the focus is on both ICE and CBP!
